Former Milan striker Mark Hateley has spoken about Rossoneri star Rafael Leao, stating that he needs more supporting players around him to play at his best.<\/p>\n

Hateley spoke exclusively to Get Italian Football News<\/strong>, via NewBettingSites and we was asked about a range of things around the Rossoneri, who were knocked out of the Champions League last week and also lost to Torino at the weekend.<\/p>\n Sergio Conceicao has not quite made the desired impact at the San Siro, despite having won the Supercoppa Italiana some weeks ago. Question marks have been raised around several players and one such player is Leao, who has five goals and five assists in the Serie A.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When asked about Leao, Hateley stated that the Portuguese\u2019s inconsistency is likely down to not having enough players of a high quality around him.<\/p>\n He told Get Italian Football News: \u201cHe\u2019s a great player <\/span><\/span>but not with great consistency. The great players play at a great level<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>all the time.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s very, very good or very poor. There\u2019s no<\/span><\/span> middle ground with that.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>And to keep that high <\/span><\/span>you need to have supporting players to help him and support that. <\/span><\/span>And I don\u2019t think<\/span><\/span> Milan have those sort of players around at the moment.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Portugal international has scored two goals in the last 12 games in the league and that is an underwhelming return, which calls into question Leao\u2019s consistency.
