This weekend was a bad weekend for Juventus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Not only was the simple fact that they lost to Sassuolo bad, the nature of which they went about \u201cachieving\u201d that kind of result was even worse. Oh, and the fact that the game-winning goal was scored by a player that Juventus loaned to Sassuolo all of a couple of months ago made this kind of second-half implosion all the more perfect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Perfectly terrible, that is.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Juventus\u2019 defense came into Sunday night\u2019s game looking like a reliable unit. What played out was mistake after mistake, each one stacked upon the previous error like it was some kind of sick and cruel joke.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Luciano Spalletti\u2019s squad was short-handed, but that doesn\u2019t excuse what we saw from a lot of Juve\u2019s players. And no matter what voodoo there may be for this club whenever it heads to the Mapei Stadium to face Sassuolo, that doesn\u2019t excuse the kind of second-half defensive effort we saw from Juventus on Sunday night.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
