Kone is said to be viewed as a possible replacement for Enzo Fernandez, who could yet end up at Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the win over Lecce though, Gian Piero Gasperini was asked about the midfielder\u2019s future in Rome and if he could yet leave \u2013 possibly to Chelsea.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Ezoic - wp_under_first_paragraph - under_first_paragraph --><!-- End Ezoic - wp_under_first_paragraph - under_first_paragraph --><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Italian denied Kone is for sale, shutting down suggestions of a late transfer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He told the press \u2013 via SiamoLaRoma: \u201c<em>Absolutely not, it\u2019s a media thing. No one has ever spoken to me about departures, not Kon\u00e9 or anyone else. Especially now, with just 24 hours to go before the transfer window closes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gasperini also clarified the Friedkin ownership\u2019s stance about Kone\u2019s possible exit.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Ezoic - wp_under_second_paragraph - under_second_paragraph --><!-- End Ezoic - wp_under_second_paragraph - under_second_paragraph --><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cI also know that the owners aren\u2019t in favor of any sales. But besides the lack of time left to find a replacement, he also revealed Roma are still short of numbers in the squad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said: <em>\u201cYou can\u2019t always have Dybala and Malen. Today we only had two players on the bench in attack. We\u2019ll have Pellegrini and Rensch back. But you have to remember that there\u2019s always someone out.
