The new CEO who came over from Sassuolo is very much looking to take advantage of a deal that he helped negotiate a couple of years ago. Of course, it\u2019s a little different kind of impact and scale to things now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
And for a different team, too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Juventus are very much in talks to bring Tarik Muharemovi\u0107 back to Turin following new Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali signing the young Bosnian center back two years ago on an initial loan deal. Juve, as we are well aware of at this point when it comes to possibility of Muharemovi\u0107 returning this summer, have a 50% sell-on clause worked into Sassuolo\u2019s option to buy that they took up last summer. That, as you can do the math, basically works out to a 50% discount for Juventus \u2014 which it looks like Carnevali is trying to take full advantage of this summer. Juventus have reportedly upped their offer to \u20ac30 million, according to Romeo Agresti and others, with Sassuolo still deeming that to be too low of a figure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
But, to steal another buzzword about negotiations, talks are \u201cprogressing\u201d as Juventus and Sassuolo try to find some sort of middle ground and agree to a valuation that will make both parties happy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Muharemovi\u0107, who was previously targeted by Inter Milan before Juventus came calling, has \u201caccepted the return to Turin,\u201d according to Matteo Moretto. Juventus are reportedly offering the 22-year-old Muharemovi\u0107 a five-year contract if he were to sign with the club this summer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
This is the kind of deal we\u2019ve rarely seen Juventus actually have available to them simply because a 50% sell-on clauses aren\u2019t things that their front office, no matter who is in charge, usually do. And when you consider that fact that Carnevali knows the player as well as anybody and can get a major discount, it\u2019s clearly adding up to being the kind of opportunity that he feels he can\u2019t pass up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
With Muharemovi\u0107 and Bosnia-Herzegovina now out of the World Cup after losing 2-0 to Weston McKennie and the United States on Wednesday, this could very well be a deal that accelerates quickly and we\u2019re talking about an agreement being found in relatively short order. But, as we know from other negotiations with Sassuolo \u2014 and Carnevali being on the other end of it \u2014 that doesn\u2019t always follow logical lines of thinking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
So now we see how long it takes for Juventus and Sassuolo to come to an agreement for Muharemovi\u0107. They\u2019re certainly talking about it \u2014 and that\u2019s something that you can\u2019t deny at this point.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
