It wasn\u2019t so long ago that Andrea Cambiaso was getting ready to enter his mid-20s and looking like he could very well be a very important piece to the puzzle for Juventus. Now, though? Not so much. The last 18 months worth of games has seen Cambiaso\u2019s form drop quite a bit, with his own manager Luciano Spalletti saying on more than one occasion that he wants to see more from the now-26-year-old Italian fullback.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It has led to, as you might expect, plenty of speculation on if he has a future in Turin. And it doesn\u2019t help that, as we are all well aware of, Juventus are without Champions League football next season and in need of some boosts financial via player sales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Cambiaso looks to be one of those players after a disappointing 2025-26 season. But despite that, he does reportedly have plenty of value amongst potential suitors. And it looks like a market for Cambiaso is starting to develop over these past few days now that there has been some actual movement elsewhere in Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As new Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali gets used to life in Turin, English giants Chelsea have recently made some inquiries into potentially signing Cambiaso, according to Sky Italia\u2019s Gianluca Di Marzio<\/a>. That comes as rumors of interest from Barcelona and maybe even other clubs in Serie A \u2014 most notably Champions League-bound Como \u2014 also swirl around with the end of the month less than two weeks away and there being one last chance for clubs to get a nice little influx of cash on the books before the fiscal year comes to an end.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Multiple reports have started that Juventus are willing to sell Cambiaso if the right offer comes along. What would it take? Probably upward of \u20ac40 million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Obviously, we have no idea if Juventus will get anything like that kind of price for a player whose stock seems to be well off where it was when Manchester City were reportedly ready to splash \u20ac50 million-plus two Januarys ago only to then back off and turn their attention elsewhere. Since that point, Cambiaso\u2019s form has been quite the roller coaster ride \u2014 and not in a good way, either.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Chelsea\u2019s reported interest in Cambiaso is understandable. They just saw their own mainstay at left back, Marc Cucurella, head to Real Madrid in a deal that could very well hit \u20ac60 million when it\u2019s all said and done. Xabi Alonso, Chelsea\u2019s latest manager to take a stab at turning things around at Stamford Bridge, has previously had success with attack-minded fullbacks\/wingbacks before \u2014 especially during his title-winning spell at Bayer Leverkusen. And Cambiaso could end up being a player in which Alonso thinks could fall into that kind of profile as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

La Gazzetta dello Sport<\/a> say that Barca\u2019s preference is to try and bring down some of that price with a player-plus-cash swap deal involving Cambiaso and center back Ronald Araujo, a player who was previously linked to Juventus in the 2025 winter transfer window. That, however, is not the reported priority for Juve considering they want some sweet, sweet cash from a potential Cambiaso sale.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But it is another sign that Juventus are very much listening to other clubs\u2019 interest in a player who just a couple of years ago that felt untouchable and off limits to potential suitors. Things change, of course, and that is certainly the case with Cambiaso now as we hit a 2026 summer mercato that will probably be fueled by who leaves and what kind of money they can generate to then try and re-invest to bring players in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
