We have our first edition of the old favorite by the name of \u201cJuventus won\u2019t be signing (insert player name) during the summer transfer window\u201d well before the beginning of the actual summer transfer window arrives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
And it feels like a rather predictable one, too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
As much as we heard just last week that Juventus were giving it one last go to try and convince Bournemouth center back Marcos Senesi to make the move from the Premier League to Serie A this summer, it looks like the last-ditch contract effort isn\u2019t coming to fruition. According to TuttoJuve\u2019s Mirko Di Natale on Tuesday \u2014 the same person who said Juve were submitting a final bid to try and convince him to move to Turin \u2014 Senesi has informed Juventus that he has turned down the offer to make Serie A his new home come the start of the 2026-27 season with the intention of staying in the Premier League.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Senesi, one of the handful of soon-to-be free agents that Juventus have been linked to over the last few months, has been the subject of recent reports that suggest he has a verbal agreement on a deal with Tottenham Hotspur \u2014 with one giant stay-in-the-Premier-League caveat attached to it. He has also been linked with a move to Liverpool this coming summer in recent days as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
It sure won\u2019t be a move to Juventus, though. Thus taking away one free-agent option that the club seemed rather keen on even as the player\u2019s interest in moving to Turin seemed to cool and the likelihood of him staying in the Premier League only increased over the last couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
In theory, Senesi was the potential left-footed center back that Juventus have been lacking for quite a while. He was not the perfect solution to what ills the Bianconeri\u2019s defense, but he was a solid option to add to the roster nonetheless. He brings experience at both the Premier League and international level with Argentina. He has started all but one of Bournemouth\u2019s Premier League fixtures this season, and has provided five assists from the center back position along the way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Unfortunately, none of that will be playing in Turin next season unless it\u2019s in a potential European competition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
