As Juventus look to plan their squad for next season in what will hopefully iuvolve a Champions League campaign, the club is looking at a big-name striker in Robert Lewandowski, who looks set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season as a free agent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Lewandowski will turn 38 years old this summer and has had the least prolific season of his career in Catalonia, scoring just 17 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for Bar\u00e7a and playing only half as many minutes as he did for Hansi Flick\u2019s side last season, when he scored 42 goals in 52 games.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Bar\u00e7a and Flick had a clear plan this season to limit Lewandowski\u2019s playing time in La Liga<\/em> due to his age, which is why Ferran Torres had the majority of the minutes in the league. Lewy did play a big part in Bar\u00e7a\u2019s European campaign, though, with four goals and one assist in eight starts on their run to the quarter-finals, but there has been evidence of some physical and technical decline. His finishing is still outstanding, but other parts of his game (such as his first touch and link-up play) are not on the same level as 12 months ago.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He\u2019s still a great player for his age, however, and will be hungry to prove he\u2019s still an elite striker in Europe for one more season.
