So, it\u2019s been a little while since Juventus got big wins in Serie A and the Champions League within the span of just a few days. But that was the case this past week, with Juve beating Benfica to secure a place in the UCL play-off round and then turning right around four days later and beating old boss Antonio Conte and Napoli.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
All adding up to the continued quality work that Luciano Spalletti is doing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
While Sunday\u2019s win over Napoli didn\u2019t change Juve\u2019s position in the Serie A standings \u2014 they\u2019re still in fifth place just as they were when they took the field this past weekend \u2014 the Bianconeri are now just one point off Conte\u2019s squad in third place. It\u2019s a situation that looks good \u2026 but also makes you regret what happen the weekend prior when Juve lost to Cagliari and could have been all alone in third place if they hadn\u2019t dropped points to a relegation battler. (That, you know, just so happened to pick up a second straight win on Saturday against Fiorentina, for what it\u2019s worth.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
So, yeah. A pretty good week for Spalletti and Juventus. Now it\u2019s over to Monaco to finish up the Champions League league phase and try to get a good seed (or more?) for the play-off round draw.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
