While many of us are focused on what Juventus\u2019 front office could potentially do to upgrade the 2025-26 roster during the winter transfer window, it appears as though the club is exploring something for the summertime as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But also getting some discussions done in the present day, too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to multiple from the Italian media on Wednesday, Juventus have held their first round of talks with the agents of Bournemouth center back Marcos Senesi over a potential move to Turin on a free transfer. (Although, as we know by now, they\u2019re not actually<\/em> free.) Senesi, who will turn 29 years old in May, is reportedly seeking a four-year contract and has given his availability to a move to Juventus, according to Italian transfer reporter Nico Schira.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Romeo Agresti of ilBianconero.com<\/a> has also confirmed the contacts between Senesi\u2019s camp and Juventus, adding that a bid is likely to come later this season to try and get ahead of the competition. Agresti added that Juve will try and sign Senesi in June before he officially sees his contract with Bournemouth expire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Senesi has also been linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona and Atl\u00e9tico Madrid as well as reigning Italian champions Napoli in recent days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Senesi fits the profile that Juventus have been looking for in defense for quite awhile \u2014 a left-footed center back who is capable both defensively as well as with his passing skills. He has been a regular starter for Bournemouth ever since he arrived in the Premier League in 2022 following three years in the Dutch league with Feyenoord.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While he\u2019s 28 years old, Senesi has been capped just twice with Argentina.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It has also been reported that former Italy manager Roberto Mancini tried to get Senesi to accept a call-up to the Azzurri roster in 2022, but he rejected the offer soon thereafter made his senior debut with Argentina.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Senesi has started 20 of Bournemouth\u2019s 21 Premier League games this season. He has recorded four assists and is one of the team leaders in minutes played for a Bournemouth side that has fallen down to 15th in the league table due to recent struggles. Senesi is one of the few defensive holdovers at the club following their cashing in on a handful of players this past summer, including a certain young Spanish international who used to sport bianconero and now calls Madrid his home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
