Christopher Nkunku may have rescued his AC Milan future after scoring twice against Hellas Verona.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Milan\u2019s 3-0 victory sent them top of the Serie A and marked a sorely needed turning point for the forward.<\/p>\n

Nkunku has been tipped to leave in January despite joining permanently from Chelsea in a \u20ac42million deal just four months ago.<\/p>\n

But he breathed new life into his stint in Italy with a brace, after converting a penalty and netting again less than four minutes later.<\/p>\n

Christian Pulisic broke the deadlock just before half-time, before Nkunku was brought down inside the box three minutes after the restart. Pulisic then selflessly opted to allow the Frenchman to take the spot-kick.<\/p>\n

After planting his effort coolly beyond goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo, Nkunku doubled his tally. The ace snapped up a rebound after Luka Modric\u2019s effort from distance was tipped onto the woodwork and tapped home.<\/p>\n

Before Sunday\u2019s match, he had contributed just one goal and one assist, leaving the Milan hierarchy no choice but to weigh up selling him.<\/p>\n

Italian Press Praise Christopher Nkunku\u2019s Performance<\/h2>\n

The Italian press heaped praise on Nkunku\u2019s performance in a game billed as make-or-break for him.<\/p>\n

Calciomercato handed the 28-year-old a glowing 7.5 rating, writing: \u201cSomething is starting to emerge, perhaps in what could have been his last real chance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The publication then urged him to find consistency. They added: \u201cAllegri asked him to do just that \u2013 to attack the goal \u2013 and the Frenchman has finally shown some great signs of life.<\/span> This must be his starting point at Milan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Goal awarded him a 7\/10 and declared he had simply \u201cneeded a click to find himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nkunku received another 7.5 from Eurosport, who described him as \u201cenergetic, alert and clear-headed\u201d. \u201cThis is what Milan asked of him, and this time he responded,\u201d the outlet said.<\/p>\n

La Gazzetta dello Sport said his performance had been \u201crestorative\u201d, pointing to an eight-minute spell which could transform his season.<\/p>\n

As reported by FootItalia<\/em>, several clubs in Turkey are interested in signing Nkunku next month.<\/p>\n

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are both tracking the former RB Leipzig man, with the latter holding the edge.<\/p>\n

Milan are understood to be open to \u20ac35m offers, marginally lower than the fee they splashed out earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Corriere dello Sport claimed that Juventus made a \u2018timid approach\u2019, with a swap deal involving Nkunku and Federico Gatti mooted. Massimiliano Allegri wants Gatti, but a deal including Nkunku has yet to materialise.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
