Adam Marusic could be on his way out of Lazio after the player\u2019s agent reportedly offered the veteran to AC Milan.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is according to TMW, who insist the 33-year-old is still some way off penning fresh terms with the Biancoceleste. A new deal is on the table but doesn\u2019t meet the requirements of the Montenegrin defender.<\/p>\n

Marusic\u2019s contract expires in June and he was hoping for a long-term deal. However, Maurizio Sarri\u2019s side are only willing to offer a year extension with a potential option of a further 12 months.<\/p>\n

Not only have AC Milan identified Alisson Becker, the Serie A giants are also in line to sign Adam Marusic. The Lazio full-back can start talking to potential suitors from New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

Marusic has been discussed with the Rossoneri\u2019s hierarchy and a discounted move could occur next month. However, the Biancoceleste will endeavor to keep the Montenegro international in the capital until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood that Juventus are also in the running and are keeping a close eye on developments. With that said, Marco Palestra has been targeted as a priority which makes Milan\u2019s quest somewhat smoother.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a guarantee that Adam Marusic will leave Lazio but it\u2019s becoming increasingly likely. Especially as his contract dispute shows no signs of coming to a positive conclusion.<\/p>\n

The main question that remains now is whether it\u2019ll be next month or in the summer that he departs the Stadio Olimpico. Naturally, Maurizio Sarri will do all he can to keep him on board.<\/p>\n

Financially, the two parties have no issues but it\u2019s the duration of the new deal that is proving the major stumbling block. From AC Milan\u2019s point of view, it\u2019s expected to benefit them in the long-run.<\/p>\n
