Is today the day that Juventus hire a new manager?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Well, Monday brought us the decision to fire Igor Tudor after Juventus extended their winless run to eight games with their 1-0 loss to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. And it looks like the heavy favorite to take things over is a man who used to call the Olimpico home \u2014 former Roma manager Luciano Spalletti.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As Monday turned to Tuesday in Italy, we heard that Juventus are set to offer Spalletti \u2014 who has been out of work since he was sacked as Italy manager back in June \u2014 a contract until the end of the season with an option for another year or two. It is all dependent on Spalletti getting Juve into the top four and the Champions League next season if he were to take the job.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Which, at this point, seems like the most likely outcome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Considering that Juve have both a midweek fixture against Udinese \u2014 one where Next Gen manager Massimo Brambilla will be in charge \u2014 and then a Saturday trip to Cremona, getting a replacement for Tudor in quickly and actually working with the squad to try and improve what has become a mess of a season is vital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So now we wait. Here\u2019s to seeing if Spalletti ends up being the guy before the day is over.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
