The relationship between the parties is solid. There are no hints of a divorce. The Pensioners finished 4th in 2024/2025 and won both the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup. They are currently 7th in the Premier League, five points away from the first position.

Maresca would be a comfortable choice for Juventus, considering he’s familiar with the team, having spent two campaigns there as a player earlier in his career. After retiring, he began his coaching career as an assistant at Ascoli, before helping Vincenzo Montella at Sevilla and Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham.

He became a youth gaffer at Manchester City in 2020 and returned to support Pep Guardiola after a cup of coffee as the Parma boss in Serie B. Chelsea poached him after he led Leicester City to the promotion in 2023/2024.

Our Take on Juventus and Maresca

It’s not great news for Tudor that the rumors about other coaches started right after their first difficulties this year. However, it’s also not a secret that he was confirmed almost unwillingly, as he was the best available option after getting the job done last season, and because their new brass didn’t land Antonio Conte or other top managers. They could be successful with more time to set the stage. The Chelsea gaffer would be an excellent hire, but it’ll be very challenging to lure him away.

Follow us on Google News for more updates on Serie A and Italian football

Source link

Juventus aren’t anywhere close to changing their coach, but Igor Tudor is unlikely to stay on their bench long-term, and their management likes Enzo Maresca for the future, Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto report (via Mediaset).
