With the summer transfer window officially coming to a close on Monday night, it\u2019s now only natural to do what we almost always do when it comes to this time of the calendar: make quick-fire declarations about how Juventus\u2019 mercato ended up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The 2025 summer mercato was certainly not the whirlwind of constant transfer updates and players coming and going during Cristiano Giuntoli\u2019s 2024 of roster churn and overhaul, but it did see some new names arrive nonetheless. It wasn\u2019t the sheer volume of moves as a year earlier, but Juve will still come out of the September international break with a couple of new attacking players on the roster after their arrival on Deadline Day and some shrewd sales made by new general manager Damien Comolli.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
For a guy who has only been on the job in Turin for a couple of months, it was no easy task.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Not only did Comolli have to try his best to clean up the mess left in the wake of the Giuntoli project put in place for Thiago Motta that only lasted 10 months, but he also had to do all this work under more financial restraints than maybe we realized. During last week\u2019s Champions League league phase draw, Comolli spoke about the Financial Fair Play implications of Juve\u2019s dealings this summer and how that has impacted just how active the club could be on the market.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
All in all, it\u2019s not a perfect squad, but Comolli certainly did some positive things, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
