An agreement for another new Juventus director has reportedly been reached, with Francois Modesto heading to Turin as the club’s new technical director.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Juventus Set to Appoint Francois Modesto as New Juventus Technical Director<\/h2>\n

Juventus’ hierarchal overhaul is set to continue , with the Old Lady on the verge of an agreement with Francois Modesto.<\/p>\n

Modesto joins as Juventus push full steam ahead with a new, ambitious sporting direction. He joins new General Manager Damien Comolli and Director of Football Strategy and former legend Giorgio Chiellini. The club are also still weighing up a handful of Juventus sporting director candidates, after Cristiano Giuntoli left his position by mutual consent.<\/p>\n

Giuntoli’s short-lived tenure was underlined by a slew of underwhelming signings and questionable, quick-fire sales that have left Juventus ruing their mistakes from afar, as the likes of Dean Huijsen and Moise Kean excel away from Turin.<\/p>\n

The club are eager to usher in a new era with a clear direction. The hope is that appointing a new technical director to instil a discernible culture and long-term strategy, will help remedy years of gross mismanagement from top-to-bottom.<\/p>\n

Who is Francois Modesto?<\/h2>\n

Francois Modesto’s arrival is a major coup for Juventus.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman has been in high demand since leaving his role as Monza’s technical director, and even rejected approaches from AC Milan to become their new sporting director.<\/p>\n

He had also been linked with a return to former employers Nottingham Forest, where he served as technical director for three years.<\/p>\n

However, even after flirting with the idea of returning to Cagliari \u2014 with whom he spent five years as a player \u2014 Modesto is now set to join Juventus’ board.<\/p>\n

Across a 19-year career, Modesto featured predominantly for Cagliari and Monaco, as well as stints with Olympiacos and Bastia.<\/p>\n

His post-playing days have seen him establish himself as an effective higher-up, including at the aforementioned Nottingham Forest, as well as Olympiacos as their chief scout.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Modesto proved hugely successful as part of Monza’s ambitious project. He was responsible for appointing several high-profile managerial names, including Alessandro Nesta, and ex-Fiorentina boss Raffaele Palladino.<\/p>\n

Modesto will assist Comolli and manager Igor Tudor in overseeing daily operations, while his previous scouting roles will likely mean he will have a hand in establishing the Bianconeri\u2019s long-term youth strategy.<\/p>\n
