Though the reasons are different, the goal is the same – take three points or wave goodbye to your seasonal goals.

Relegation-threatened Venezia head into proceedings two points adrift of safety after Cagliari thumped them 3-0 last weekend. Eusebio Di Francesco’s side had briefly reignited their survival hopes with a stunning 2-1 home win against Fiorentina, only to throw everything away at the Unipol Domus.

However, there’s still a chance for Venezia to avoid an immediate return to Serie B. It’s a long shot, though. The Winged Lions must beat Juventus against the odds while hoping results elsewhere go their way. Indeed, they need Empoli and Lecce to drop points, though it won’t matter if they fail to upset the apple cart at Pier Luigi Penzo.

Juventus won’t be out to make friends as they fight tooth and nail to fend off Roma in an intense top-four battle. A 2-0 home win against Udinese last time out saw the Bianconeri preserve a slender one-point lead over Claudio Ranieri’s side heading into the season finale. Therefore, there’s no margin for error.

Head coach Igor Tudor may be fighting for his job as well. Securing another season at Europe’s top table could be just what the doctor ordered for the Croatian manager amid talks Juventus could try to re-sign Napoli boss Antonio Conte in the summer.

Match Preview

Venezia

<picture></picture>

Venezia’s win over Fiorentina was somewhat of an anomaly. Indeed, that was their first home win as a pre-match outsider all season (D3, L6). But it saw them bounce back from a 2-0 home loss to Juventus’ bitter rivals, AC Milan, and defy their dreadful scoring record against Serie A’s heavy hitters.

Di Francesco’s men have failed to score in seven home encounters against current top-half opposition this term. Against this backdrop, they netted twice to hold the Bianconeri to a goal-glutted 2-2 draw in December’s reverse fixture at the Allianz Stadium. Going one better this weekend won’t be simple, but it’s not beyond Venezia.

The hosts have racked up all five Serie A wins this season on home turf (W5, D5, L8). It’s also worth noting they’ve held Juventus winless in two of their four top-flight meetings at this stadium since 1999 (D2, L2). Therefore, this may not be a walk in the park for the visitors as one may think.

Juventus

<picture></picture>

Dusan Vlahovic returned to the scoresheet against Udinese and could make his final appearance for Juventus this weekend. Despite talks the Turin heavyweights could sign Victor Osimhen to replace the Serbian superstar, their hopes of landing the Napoli superstar have suffered a massive blow.

Per French outlet Foot Mercato, the Nigerian could soon complete a shock transfer to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal. Nonetheless, dining out at Europe’s top table next season would significantly bolster Juventus’ hopes of reinforcing their squad in the summer. As such, extending a four-game unbeaten league run (W2, D2) with a win is imperative.

Facing bottom-five sides on the road hasn’t been smooth sailing for Juventus. Indeed, they’ve managed just one win in such fixtures this season (D2, L1). Their overall away form in 2025 paints a similar picture, with only two competitive victories on the road (D6, L4) and none in their last five.

As if that’s not concerning enough, Juventus netted 2+ goals in just one of those 12 matches.

Team News

<picture></picture>

Gaetano Oristanio suffered a knock against Cagliari and could join Domen Crnigoj, Fali Cande, and Michael Svoboda on the sidelines.
