Serie A\u2019s title race is hotting up and so is the race for the top four. But there is a remote possibility that the latter can be decided by a coin toss.<\/p>\n

Tuttomercatoweb speak of this possibility and it would involve Roma and Juventus. Juve are at fourth with 67 points and Roma are at fifth with 66 points. The Bianconeri\u2019s goal difference is at 22 and the Giallorossi\u2019s is at 19.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As per regulations in Serie A, when there is a tie on points, the position (other than the top) is decided by points in direct clashes, goal difference in direct clashes, goal difference in the league, goals scored \u2013 in that order.<\/p>\n

But if Juventus were to lose to Venezia 3-0 and Roma draw 1-1 with Torino (with Lazio fail in beating Lecce), then the two teams would both be at 67 points, with head-to-head matches tied (1-1 and 0-0), goal difference in head-to-head matches tied, overall goal difference tied (+19) and goals scored tied (55).<\/p>\n
This will bring about the possibility of a coin toss which will decide as to which team finishes at fourth.<\/p>\n
