Francesco Totti has admitted that he would ‘definitely consider’ an important role at Roma should the club offer it to him.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Giallorossi<\/em> legend spent his entire career in Rome and holds a number of records for the Lupi.\u00a0<\/i>Totti is Roma’s record goal scorer and appearance holder to name but a few.<\/p>\n

In the 2000-01 season, Totti captained the Giallorossi<\/em> to Serie A glory. He also won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana on two occasions as well as the 2006 FIFA World Cup with Italy.<\/p>\n

Many consider Totti to be one of the greatest ever Italian soccer players of all time. Now, the 48-year-old has spoken out about a potential return to the Stadio Olimpico.<\/p>\n

Francesco Totti On Potential Roma Return<\/h2>\n

\u201cIf the opportunity were to arise to have an important role at Roma, I would certainly evaluate it. Roma has always been my home, and if one day I were to be called, we\u2019d sit down and evaluate everything<\/em>,” he told TRT Sport<\/em> and Corriere dello Sport<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was an important player for Roma. If I was offered an important role, I\u2019d definitely consider it<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Totti did work as an adviser at Roma but left the position shortly after joining. He felt he wasn’t given enough powers to influence key decisions at the club.<\/p>\n

Francesco Totti Heaps Praise On Claudio Ranieri<\/h2>\n

Francesco Totti hailed current Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri after his hugely positive impact at the Stadio Olimpico this season.<\/p>\n

Ranieri joined the club midway through 2024-25 with the Giallorossi\u00a0<\/em>close to the relegation spots. With two games remaining in the campaign, Champions League soccer is still a possibility.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoma certainly changed with Ranieri, who brought great enthusiasm and is a real Roma man<\/em>,” Totti explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did an extraordinary job, taking Roma from rock bottom to the Champions League places. This is a journey that certainly needs to be appreciated, and we are all very happy with him<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ranieri will go back into retirement this summer so his position in the dugout will need to be filled. Roma had made contact with Cesc Fabregas but it remains to be seen if the current Como man will switch to Rome.<\/p>\n
