We knew when Igor Tudor made his way from Split, Croatia, back to Turin to become Juventus\u2019 interim manager in March that it was potentially a short-term situation. But the interesting twist in all of this is that Juve are part of a Club World Cup field this summer that gets underway less than a month after the 2024-25 season comes to an end.<\/p>\n

So when will we know if Tudor is the man going into next season or somebody else \u2014 and let the rumor mill continue to fly there! \u2014 is coming this summer?<\/p>\n

Well, it looks like it won\u2019t be until after Juventus\u2019 participation in the Club World Cup \u2014 which gets underway on June 18 with Juve\u2019s first group stage game \u2014 based on what we\u2019ve heard from chief executive officer Maurizio Scanavino on Tuesday night. Scanavino\u2019s words are as follows:<\/p>\n

\u201cTudor has had a very positive impact. He\u2019s doing a good job in a critical moment with a limited squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been clear from the beginning. We will definitely do the [Club] World Cup together, and then we\u2019ll decide how to move forward. For now, we are very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Considering there is still some doubts about the future of Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, it\u2019s no surprise that the board of directors are holding off on a managerial choice until they decide on the person who will be putting together the roster. But when it comes simply to Tudor, this isn\u2019t much of a surprise considering this always felt like the situation that he came back to Juventus knowing.<\/p>\n

Of course, if Juventus fail to qualify for the Champions League over the next couple of weeks then things could get a little interesting when it comes to Tudor\u2019s future. Or maybe no Champions League next season will leave the club thinking they won\u2019t be able to either afford a high-profile manager or won\u2019t be able to attract one without at least one season of Europe\u2019s premier club competition.<\/p>\n

Juventus have won three, drawn three and lost one in the seven games that Tudor has been in charge since replacing Thiago Motta during the March international break.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
