Milan and Jorge Mendes have been working shoulder to shoulder ever since the team fired most of their management, and a couple more of his clients, Leny Yoro and Alejandro Balde, could come in handy in January, Calciomercato reports.

The Rossoneri are scouring the market for a new center-back, and Ruben Amorim already worked with the Frenchman. He moved to Manchester United for €62M in 2024. He hasn’t quite lived up to expectations and hasn’t starred regularly in the early going this campaign. The Red Devils will consider parting ways with him if a team tenders €50M or so.

On top of Yoro, Milan are examining Baldè, who almost transferred to Old Trafford late last summer, Mundo Deportivo reports (via Tribuna). The Italian club passed on him due to his €40M price tag and because they preferred spending in other roles. The deal could be easier in January, as Barcelona might lower their demands.

The Blaugrana product has recorded 169 appearances, 3 goals, and 21 assists in Catalunya. He has made just one short cameo so far this season. Manchester United are expected to give it another go. Juventus are hunting for a left-back and could throw their hat in the ring as well.

Our Take on Milan, Yoro, and Balde

They do need a center-back, and the stronger the better, but the former arguably hasn’t shown enough to merit such a lofty disbursement. Instead, a left-back would be welcome only if Amorim continues to deploy Diego Moreira in other roles and instead keeps trusting Pervis Estupinan too much, considering his sloppiness.
