We are now officially a couple of days into the first international break of the 2026-27 season — and it is one that will be longer than any in-season break that we’ve seen since the winter World Cup four years ago. And like just about every break before, there are a host of Juve players who won’t actually get much of a break during this first international break of the new season.
A total of 12 players who call Juventus their home this season will be out on national team duty during the break, with some of the club’s bigger names — Kenan Yildiz, Manuel Locatelli, Khephren Thuram, Weston McKennie and Gleison Bremer — staying back in Turin due to their current injury status or a different reason.
Here are the senior players who will be out with their respective national teams during the September/October international break:
You’ve got a mixture of UEFA Nations League games, some South American teams playing friendlies and, in the case of Pape Sarr, Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as well. It’s a busy three-week break, with some Juventus teammates set to play against one another in the Nations League fixtures.
