Cash game tables in CoinPoker’s VIP Arena have been buzzing this week as the Global Online Poker Championship reaches its midpoint, with the current run of action landing almost exactly a year after some of the platform’s biggest-ever sessions.

Alongside the renewed activity, CoinPoker has also launched a giveaway with PokerGO offering a route to High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas, worth more than $100,000.

PLO Tables Draw Heavy Traffic At CoinPoker’s Highest Stakes

Traffic at CoinPoker’s cash games has picked up in recent days, with the site’s highest-stakes Pot-Limit Omaha tables staying busy throughout the midpoint of the Global Online Poker Championship (GOPC).

On August 25th, a player going by BTCdemon took a seat at the $1,000/$2,000 VIP Arena tables. He started out opposite Barak “iWasOnly17” Wisbrod before the table filled out further with Chris “Lukabrate” Nguyen, Hazeslip, Trance and Firefox joining in.

Former Cash Game World Champion Owen “PR0DIGY” Messere also joined the action, and at one stage found himself on the wrong end of a huge bluff from BTCdemon, who was holding nothing stronger than Jack-high.

One hand proved especially costly for the table. BTCdemon got involved in a pot that swelled to $1.1 million, with Lukabrate’s pocket Kings ultimately losing out to rivered trip Queens after a preflop all-in.

Jared Bleznick has also become a regular fixture at the VIP Arena tables lately, squaring off against PencilArms in both $500/$1,000 and $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha games.

Their $200/$400 clash on August 24th caught the attention of poker commentator Emil (@EmilTheRaccoon), who called the pair “two legends at work” on their return to the felt.

Bleznick and PencilArms played similarly high-stakes sessions on CoinPoker last year, and their reunion at the tables lines up neatly with the wider surge in activity at the platform’s higher limits.

This Week’s Action Echoes Last Year’s Biggest Pots

CoinPoker itself flagged the coincidence, pointing out that this week’s action falls right around the anniversary of some of the site’s largest-ever recorded cash game stacks.

Around this same point last year, Bleznick ran his stack up to roughly $1,500,000 in CoinPoker cash games, a session the platform still counts among the biggest cash game action it has ever hosted.

Looking back on seeing the pair return to the tables, Emil summed up the nostalgia in a follow-up post: “I remember these games. Sick is probably the only word describing those stakes.”

CoinPoker And PokerGO Launch High Stakes Poker Giveaway

Through a new partnership with PokerGO, CoinPoker is giving players a shot at a seat at High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas.

Signing up with the code POKERGO and taking part in weekly qualifiers between September 6th and October 25th, across both cash games and tournaments, lets players climb the leaderboard toward the giveaway.

Each of the eight weekly winners will advance to a final table draw on October 31st. The grand prize includes a $100,000 buy-in to High Stakes Poker, $10,000 toward travel costs, and a stay on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sign-up details and further information are available on the PokerGO x CoinPoker promotion page.

More High-Stakes CoinPoker Hands Now On YouTube

CoinPoker’s YouTube channel has released its latest weekly hand roundup, Biggest Pots of the Week: Royal Flush Hits, featuring ten of the site’s top cash game moments from the past several days.

The video takes its name from a five-card Pot-Limit Omaha hand at the VIP Arena, where BJPCoin called off a bet while holding a flush draw and rivered a royal flush to beat an opponent’s full house.

Also featured is an $80,000 No-Limit Hold’em pot won by calling down a Jack-high bluff, along with a $133,000 five-card PLO hand settled by running the board twice.
