Serie A giants Milan are all but set to part ways with defender Fikayo Tomori but the player is yet to give a green light to a move to Coventry City.
Get Italian Football News have looked how Frank Lampard’s side are interested in the defender and they even made an initial approach to sign him. Milan have transfer listed the Englishman, whose contract runs out in the summer of 2027.
Daniele Longo has now reported that Mario Gila’s arrival pushes Tomori outside the Ruben Amorim project.
Talks over renewal had anyway stalled, which makes an exit a very likely possibility for the centre-back.
But even if Coventry City have stepped forward for him, Tomori has doubts about the move and is weighing ups and downs of the deal. His valuation is currently at €15 million, with other English clubs also keen.
No rush for Coventry
Tomori’s situation is too early to call and no other clubs have appeared as keen as Coventry City. That is why the Sky Blues should remain attentive to the situation and see how it unfolds. Frank Lampard’s presence could hold key, if other teams fail to make in-roads with a formal approach.
