Serie A side Milan are facing hitches in their move to land Oliver Glasner as their manager and Ruben Amorim is a major candidate to replace Max Allegri at the Rossoneri.
The Portuguese was quite disappointing in his stint at Manchester United but he could yet land another big role.
MilanPress report that Amorim was offered to Milan by his entourage at AS1 some days ago. The Italian giants have now decided to progress forward and new contact will also take place soon enough.
This is in line with Matteo Moretto’s claims about the Rossoneri’s hunt for a manager. He has clarified that the idea of signing Glasner is fading away, with Amorim definitely one of the candidates to become the next manager at the San Siro.
Deal likely very risky
Amorim appeared very radical at Manchester United, often failing to change and adapt when needed. The Milan job requires an adaptive individual who adapts to often imperfect squads that may not always fit his back three setup.
Glasner is also a back three manager but he is much more adaptive, pragmative and can tailor the setup to fit the squad’s needs. This can’t be said for Amorim and his lack of adaptability is a big red flag.
