Originally viewed as a promising prospect, Andrea Cambiaso has evolved into an indispensable “pillar” for Juventus.

However, the the 26-year-old’s stellar form in Turin has not gone unnoticed by Europe’s elite.

Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City all reportedly circling the Italian international, according to reports.

Now it seems that the Bianconeri are facing a significant challenge to retain their versatile wing-back.

While Juventus management considers him untouchable for the project, the financial reality of a potential €60-€70 million (£61.2m) offer could force a difficult conversation in the halls of the Allianz Stadium.

Why Europe’s Giants Are Chasing Andrea Cambiaso

Cambiaso is far from a traditional full-back. He was linked with a move to AC Milan not long ago but his stock has risen even more since then.

His ability to operate on both the left and right flanks, as well as his comfort playing as a wing-back or even a mezzala, makes him a tactical dream for modern managers.

So far this season, Cambiaso has contributed two goals and four assists across 35 appearances.

But his value transcends statistics; it is his “midfielder’s mind” that sets him apart.

Former Juventus coach Igor Tudor famously praised the defender’s spatial awareness, noting that he sees the game differently than most defenders, often drifting inside to dictate play.

Real Madrid and Liverpool: A New Left-Back Rivalry?

Both Real Madrid and Liverpool addressed their defensive depth in the summer of 2025 – Madrid with Alvaro Carreras and Liverpool with Milos Kerkez.

Despite these successful signings, both clubs remain “obsessed” with the quality Cambiaso brings to the pitch.

For Real Madrid, Cambiaso represents the ideal profile for their “Galactico” recruitment strategy – young, versatile, and possessing the personality to thrive under the bright lights of the Santiago Bernabéu.

Meanwhile, Liverpool see him as a player who could eventually succeed the legendary Andy Robertson, providing a different tactical dimension to Arne Slot’s system.

The “Igor Tudor Prediction” Coming True

The intense interest from the Premier League and La Liga comes just months after Igor Tudor made a bold prediction regarding Cambiaso’s future.

Tudor, who worked closely with the player in Turin, stated that Cambiaso has the potential to play for “the best clubs in the world.”

“He can play at Liverpool, Real Madrid, or Manchester City,” Tudor remarked back in September 2025.

“He is a top-level player… but he has to say: ‘I’ll get there because every Sunday, I’m the best.’”

It appears Cambiaso has taken that advice to heart.

His consistency this season has elevated him to a level where he is now frequently compared to Italian defensive icons like Paolo Maldini.

Will Juventus Sell Their “Untouchable” Asset?

Juventus currently holds the cards, with Cambiaso under contract until June 2029.

The club’s internal stance is clear: they do not want to sell a player who embodies the technical and tactical growth of the new-look Juve.

However, in the modern transfer market, every player has a price.

If a bidding war erupts between Manchester City, Liverpool, and Real Madrid, a fee approaching €70 million might be too substantial for the Bianconeri to ignore, especially if the funds are needed to reinforce other areas of the squad.

For now, Juventini can enjoy Cambiaso in the black and white stripes, but the summer of 2026 is shaping up to be a massive test of the club’s resolve.

Meanwhile, a former Juventus goalkeeper has claimed he would be happy if the Old Lady miss out on Champions League football next season.
