Ciro Immobile is reportedly set for a shock move to ambitious French side Paris FC.

The former Italy striker only returned to Italian soccer with Bologna this season, but his situation has quickly changed.

Immobile only has 227 minutes of game time under his belt this term, due in part to a hamstring injury earlier in the season.

He hasn’t featured at all in Bologna’s Europa League campaign, during which they reached the playoffs.

Now, reports are saying Paris FC have pushed hard in the last few days and believe a deal is within reach.

Ciro Immobile: Agreement ‘almost done’ between Bologna and Paris FC

Ciro Immobile could soon be on his way to Paris FC, according to Fabrizio Romano.

An agreement between the clubs is said to be close, with the final step linked to the player’s green light.

Romano described it as a “surprise deal” and, should Immobile say yes, then a medical will be on the cards.

Nicolo Schira then took to X to say it was a done deal later on Friday evening.

The Italian transfer expert said Immobile would pen a contract until 2027, with everything expected to be done by Sunday.

Why Paris FC want to sign Immobile

Paris FC are a club firmly on the up, having returned to the top flight of French football just last summer.

The Arnault family, who topped Forbes’ list of richest billionaires in 2024 and own luxury goods empire LVMH, took over the club in 2024.

They are coming for Paris Saint-Germain’s crown, and Ciro Immobile could be the next marquee signing for them.

The 35-year-old has played upwards of 600 professional matches in his career for club and country.

Immobile has also scored more than 300 professional goals, and has won numerous trophies including Euro 2020.

Bologna seem happy to let him go, so this move could work out well for all parties.
