Arthur Atta isn’t chasing headlines, he’s building trust. And for Udinese, keeping him through January might be as important as any new signing.
At the Zebretta d’Oro ceremony, Atta didn’t dodge the question: no January move, no distractions. He will offer commitment to Udinese and gratitude toward the fans.
Why Udinese Can Relax About Arthur Atta
Arthur Atta, Udinese’s star midfielder, spoke on the sidelines of the Zebretta d’Oro award ceremony. “I won’t be leaving here in January. It’s a promise,” says the 2025 winner.
“It’s an honour, I want to thank our fans and finally score a goal for them at home in the league. So far, I’ve only managed to do that in the Coppa Italia. I’ve scored all my Serie A goals away from home,”
Atta also added that he always gives his all.
From Metz to Friuli, Atta Found the Right Place to Grow
The young French midfielder has made it pretty obvious what he wants. Juventus and Inter were interested in the player, but it looks like any talks will have to wait until next summer.
“When you’re playing football, you just have to do your best. That’s just how I am, and I’ll keep doing it.” It’s also because it’s his great passion; he’s always wanted to be a professional and is now enjoying this opportunity. He showed up in Udine on the last day of the transfer window, which was a bit of a whirlwind, but he knew the Friuli club was pretty good at promoting young players.
“Udine is a small but beautiful place. When my family comes to visit, we always go for walks. I live in the centre of the city. I like the food and the pasta.”
Why Atta Is Already Central to Udinese’s Season
Arthur Atta has played in most of the Udinese’s Serie A matches in 2025/2026, making 13 appearances in total and playing 1,109 minutes. He’s started in all 13 of these appearances across their 17 fixtures.
Atta finally played in a league game on 29 November, playing 68 minutes for Udinese against Parma in a 2-0 victory. So far this season, he’s scored one Serie A goal and set up two more. He’s been shown a yellow card twice.

The midfielder made his first appearance in a Serie A game for Udinese on 28 September 2024 as a substitute against Inter at the age of 21 years and 257 days. He’s played 40 times in the Serie A competition so far, scoring one goal and setting up three more.
