Multiple Serie A sides are preparing a bid for Manchester City star Nathan Ake as the Dutchman pushes for a January move.

Nathan Ake Pushes For January Move

The Dutch international is seeking a move away from Manchester in the January transfer window after falling down the pecking order this season.

Pep Guardiola has included Ake in a Premier League starting eleven on just one occasion in the 2025/26 campaign, as Nico O’Reilly continues to impress.

Ake joined the Cityzens in August 2020, going on to make 158 appearances and winning six Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups, FA Cup, Champions League, Community Shield, UEFA Supercup and FIFA Club World Cup.

The Premier League champions have managed to find success without Ake’s involvement, as the Cityzens sit second in the table and just two-points behind Arsenal.

The Dutchman’s deal in Manchester does not expire until June 2027, but the Cityzens are reportedly willing to offload Ake in the January window.

This has alerted multiple sides across Europe, with Ake attracting interest from the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A.

Ake is not the only Premier League star to be targeted by Italian sides, as Fiorentina shortlist Radu Dragusin from Tottenham and Niclas Fullkrug closes in on a move to AC Milan.

Many expected the Manchester City star to remain in England until the summer, but the increased interest from Serie A could see Ake leave the Premier League in January.

Serie A Sides Prepare Nathan Ake Bid

Inter Milan have already added a Manchester City defender to their ranks in 2025, signing Manuel Akanji on loan during the recent summer transfer window.

The Swiss defender has made a mixed start in Italy, but the Nerazzurri are ready to bring in another City star in Nathan Ake.

Cristian Chivu’s side currently sit top of Serie A but are dealing with a host of injury concerns as Denzel Dumfries continues his recovery from ankle surgery and Ange Yoan-Bonny deals with a knee issue.

Ake has been highlighted as a priority signing for the Nerazzurri as the Dutchman boasts huge versatility across the back-line and is familiar with a back-three formation.

However, Inter are not the only interested party from Serie A, as Juventus are also ready to make a considerable bid for the Dutchman in January.

The Bianconeri will enter their first transfer window under Luciano Spalletti and the Italian side are set to back their new manager tremendously.
