Fabio Paratici could raid Tottenham Hotspur in order to bring Radu Dragusin to Fiorentina, according to reports.

Fiorentina eyeing Radu Dragusin alongside Napoli, Roma and Inter

With the January window nearing, Tuttomercatoweb says Dragusin is preparing to leave Tottenham and prioritises Serie A.

Fiorentina are among the clubs monitoring his situation, alongside Napoli, Roma and Inter, according to the same report.

However, Viola’s first new acquisition this winter could be in the boardroom, with Paratici a target for Fiorentina.

And Paratici has a history with Dragusin, having signed him for Juventus in 2018 and later Tottenham.

Fiorentina reportedly made a concrete attempt to sign Dragusin about a month ago.

That approach was rejected by Tottenham, who were unwilling to sanction a departure while Dragusin was recovering from injury.

However, with Dragusin now back in the matchday squad, Spurs could potentially review his transfer situation.

The Romania international struggled under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.

However, there’s always the possibility new coach Thomas Frank could assess him and give him a chance in the squad.

Roma seem keen on Dragusin, which could make Fiorentina’s pursuit of him more difficult.

The latest on Paratici to Fiorentina

Fiorentina have struggled this season, but their 5-1 win over Udinese lifted the mood considerably.

In addition, the Viola could soon have Paratici in the boardroom, and he has been tipped to shine at the Tuscany club.

“For me, he’s a role model, a successful director in Italy,” former Juventus goalkeeper Rubinho recently told Radio Firenzeviola.

“He did great things with (Beppe) Marotta, and their history speaks for itself.

“He’s an intelligent director, and his arrival will bring serenity and concrete results for the future.”

London’s Evening Standard has reported that Fiorentina have approached Paratici on a five-year deal.

However, no formal approach has reached Spurs at this moment in time.

Frank declined to address the speculation, saying he would not comment on rumours about staff.

Paratici only returned to Spurs two months ago, rejoining as a co-sporting director alongside Johan Lange.
