Daniele De Rossi start as Genoa’s manager has been great so far. He has already identified areas of improvement. Solutions will come from the next transfer windows. Norton-Cuffy and Frendrup free to go amid great offer.
According to Repubblica Genoa market is ready to bubble. In fact Marten Frendrup and Brooke Norton-Cuffy are set to leave. The latter has been bought for just two million euros from Arsenal and now he is worth at least six times more – always considering that Arsenal got a selling percentage in case of a new transfer. In a 4-2-3-1 the England U-21 international flourished under Vieira management and just after a couple of games Daniele De Rossi told the media that he has “massive room for improvement”.
Norton-Cuffy is a great right winger and has an offensive mindset, which makes him really valuable in the current Genoa 3-5-2. Inter and Juventus are monitoring him, but if Genoa wants to sell, they’ll have to receive a fair amount of money.
Marten Frendrup ready to be sold at €20 million
The Danish midfielder is in high demand. Inter were interested, but it looks like Nerazzurri are no longer in the running. He could be a good fit for Antonio Conte’s Napoli, as they need to strengthen the midfield after so many injuries. The general idea is that Frendrup could leave Genoa for €20 million in the next month.
If Norton-Cuffy leaves, Genoa need a stronger midfielder
If Genoa sell Frendrup and/or Norton-Cuffy for at least €20-25 million, that means Rossoblu can afford to add four to five new players to the squad in January.
Daniele De Rossi has asked for Niccolò Pisilli from Roma, because the manager knows him from when he was with Giallorossi. Same reason why DDR wants to attempt for Edin Dzeko from Fiorentina. A return to Genoa for Mattia Perin is always a possibility, while Nuno Moreira from Vasco da Gama is the main target to strengthen the left flank.
