Destiny Udogie has opened up about allegedly being threatened with a gun in London and the Tottenham star is hoping to move forward.

Destiny Udogie Opens Up About Alleged London Gun Threat

On September 6th, Destiny Udogie was involved in a hugely traumatic encounter in London, as the Spurs defender was allegedly threatened with a firearm by a soccer agent.

The Italian international avoided any injuries from the event and the agent was arrested in the following days, but Udogie was left terrified and visibly shaken.

An exact ruling is yet to be determined as the case is ongoing, but the Tottenham Hotspur star recently broke his silence over the event and is hoping to move forward.

Udogie said: “Obviously, it was important to feel that support. Because it’s a new city for me. It’s my third year at Spurs but obviously London is a big city. So to be here with my family and my daughter, it’s good to have the club around me.

“It was not something I’d wish on anyone. It was a shock. But it’s OK, now we look forward.”

Despite this nightmare situation, Udogie has continued to perform for Spurs this season, making 15 appearances across all competitions and pushing to feature in Italy’s World Cup play-off against Northern Ireland.

The 23-year-old is yet to appear for the Azzurri under Gennaro Gattuso, but Udogie has been called-up to the Italy squad during Gattuso’s reign.

As revealed by Udogie, moving forward is the primary objective and the Italian defender is being monitored by a host of European sides.

Juventus Prepare Destiny Udogie Bid

The Tottenham Hotspur star was linked with a move away from North London during the recent summer transfer window, as the Lilywhites were open to any bids around €50million.

Luciano Spalletti is said to be a huge admirer of the 23-year-old, handing Udogie his senior debut for the Azzurri in October 2023 and the Juventus manager is pushing to sign the defender in January.

Tottenham Hotspur are at risk of losing another Italian during the opening month of 2026, as Guglielmo Vicario has attracted interest from Inter Milan.

The 29-year-old has become unsettled in England after facing boos from Spurs supporters following a mistake against Fulham and Vicario is now pushing for a move back to Serie A.

Udogie will be a harder deal to complete for Juventus, as the Italian signed a long-term contract in December 2023, which does not expire until June 2030.
