If the latest Robert Lewandowski transfer news is to be believed, the Barcelona striker could be heading to Serie A next year.

Much has been made of the Polish superstar’s future with a Barcelona exit starting to look likely.

Naturally, Lewandowski will have a number of keen admirers across the continent all vying for his signature if he does leave.

However, much of that interest is expected to come from clubs in Italy’s elite soccer division. A league in which the Bayern Munich legend has yet to test himself.

Robert Lewandowski Transfer News – What Is His Barcelona Contract Situation?

With Barcelona monitoring Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, current Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has also been mooted as a potential Robert Lewandowski replacement.

Such reports strongly imply that the veteran superstar is on the verge of leaving the Blaugrana when his contract expires on June 30.

However, the LaLiga giants do hold a unilateral clause to extend Lewandowski’s stay in Catalonia. But at the time of writing, that looks unlikely to happen.

Therefore, an enticing new experience is on the horizon for the Polish superstar. The 37-year-old has spent his club career in Poland, Germany and Spain – scoring over 600 goals to date.

Will Robert Lewandowski Move To Serie A?

Although there is interest from the Saudi Pro League as well as Turkish clubs, the latest Robert Lewandowski transfer news strongly implies Serie A will be his next destination.

Italian giant AC Milan is interested in Lewandowski and has reportedly held talks with his agent.

Those discussions are understood to be about a possible salary restructure to help accommodate him.

Very much in his twilight years, the Italian game would be very appealing for Lewandowski. Especially as he will be 38 by the time the 2026-27 campaign gets underway.

A number of veterans have all moved to Serie A before calling time on their playing days. One current example is 40-year-old Luka Modric – who penned a one-year deal with the Rossoneri last summer.

The slower pace and less ferocious demands in Italy prove a very attractive option, and it’s surely a destination that Lewandowski is strongly considering.

Which Four Serie A Clubs Could Sign Robert Lewandowski?

AC Milan

If Robert Lewandowski does come to Serie A next summer, AC Milan appears to be the favorites for his signature. The Italian giants have struggled to find a regular scorer since former veteran Olivier Giroud was on board.

Since then, millions have been spent on the likes of Santiago Gimenez, Divock Origi, Luka Jovic, Alvaro Morata and Noah Okafor without paying dividends.

Lewandowski is almost certain to find the back of the net on a regular basis. If Milan can match his salary demands and secure Champions League soccer, a San Siro switch is very likely.

Como

Admittedly, this would be extremely ambitious and an incredible coup if Como were to sign Robert Lewandowski. Head coach Cesc Fabregas typically works with up-and-coming talent but even he would have to consider Lewandowski.

Not only would he sell shirts, score goals and boost club profile, his overall experience would be hugely beneficial to the I Biancoblu project.

Even though Lewandowski would want a fair salary that reflects his talents, Fabregas’s side would strongly consider giving him what he desires. After all, I Lariani isn’t shy financially.

Inter Milan

Last month, it emerged that Inter Milan are interested in Robert Lewandowski. However, if there’s one area that head coach Cristian Chivu is well catered for, it’s in attack.

Nonetheless, the chance to lure a player with the caliber of Lewandowski cannot be ignored lightly. Especially as he will provide an extra outlet to the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram and Pio Esposito.

In fact, adding Lewandowski to that trio would make the Nerazzurri one of the most feared attacking forces in world soccer. Even if they only had the global superstar for a single campaign.

Juventus

Even though Dusan Vlahovic has hinted at a new Juventus contract, the Bianconeri will also need to prepare for a replacement if the Serb does decide to move on.

Vlahovic’s deal is up in the summer. Therefore, he can start talking to potential suitors in January. Just like Robert Lewandowski can do.

The chance to play for Italy’s most successful team is one that will surely appeal to the Polish star. In fact, there’s a decent-enough chance Vlahovic and Lewandowski will swap clubs come summer.
