AC Milan are back in Serie A action on October 19th, as the Rossoneri host Fiorentina and you can find a full preview, prediction, possible lineups and betting tips below.
AC Milan vs Fiorentina Preview
The Rossoneri look like a completely different team than the side that finished eighth in Serie A last season, as Massimiliano Allegri’s men sit third in the table after six matches.
After a disappointing defeat to Cremonese on the opening day of the season, Milan have gone on a terrific run in Italy’s top division, forming an unbeaten streak of five matches (4W & 1D).
Milan’s only slight dip in points came in their most recent league clash, as the Rossoneri were held to a 0-0 draw by Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
Not only have Milan picked up 13 points from five matches, they have also formed an impenetrable back-line after conceding just one goal in five league matches.
In contrast, Fiorentina have made a miserable start to their Serie A season and are still looking for their first three-points of the season, scoring just three goals in six matches so far.
Most recently, La Viola suffered a 2-1 defeat to Lazio at Stadio Artemio Franchi, as Matias Soule and Bryan Cristante found the target after Moise Kean put Fiorentina ahead.
The Florence-based side are already looking to make some new additions in the January window and are considering a host of players that are our of contract next year – including the likes of Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez.
Stefano Pioli is coming under increasing pressure as Fiorentina sit just one place above the relegation zone and the Italian is in desperate need of three-points.
Milan have been boosted in recent days as Rafael Leao is set for his first start since returning from injury, however, Christian Pulisic will miss out after an injury issue with the USMNT.
AC Milan vs Fiorentina Prediction
The Rossoneri boast a strong record against Fiorentina, especially when the two teams meet at the San Siro as Milan are unbeaten from the last five encounters at home (4W & 1D).
Milan will also be boosted by Rafael Leao’s return, as the 26-year-old withdrew from international duty and is expected to feature from the beginning.
We believe Massimiliano Allegri’s side will have too much quality for Fiorentina and inflict further damage on what has already been a poor season for La Viola.
Prediction: AC Milan 3-1 Fiorentina

AC Milan vs Fiorentina Betting Tips
Pablo Mari To Be Booked: +260
Pablo Mari has only made three Serie A appearances for Fiorentina this season, with two of these coming in the starting eleven – but the Spaniard has still picked up two yellow cards.
The return of Rafael Leao could be a huge test for the Fiorentina defender, as the Portuguese star is one of the most electric and tricky players in Serie A.
La Viola’s other centre-back, Marin Pongracic, has accumulated three yellow cards in Serie A this season and highlights the issues Fiorentina have faced with discipline.
