Carmine Nunziata takes the Italy U-20 national team to Chile after just two games in charge, as the 58-year-old took the reins in July of this year.

The young Italian’s will be looking to go a step further than they managed in 2023, as the Azzurrini were beaten 1-0 by Uruguay in the last U-20 World Cup.

A host of star names have been selected to represent the Italian national team, with multiple agents heading to Chile to watch the stand-out players for the Azzurrini.

Italy will kick-off their World Cup campaign at Estadio Elias Figueroa Brander on September 28th, against an Australia side that recently won the AFC Asian Cup (U-20).

Italy vs Australia Prediction

Finding a winner for this match is not an easy task, as these two sides have never faced off in a competitive tournament and come into the clash with mixed form.

Italy’s expectations will be to reach the final, as our AI Supercomputer predicted the Azzurini’s fate in the U-20 WC and in order to do so Italy will need to start off with a win.

Despite their recent success in the U-20 AFC Asian Cup, Australia have picked-up just one win from their last four matches and we expect the Italian national team to earn all three points on Day Two of the tournament.

Prediction: Italy 3-1 Australia
