The latest Zion Suzuki transfer news has revealed that Milan are considering a move for the Parma goalkeeper.

Suzuki has been identified as a replacement for Mike Maignan in the 2026-27 season. The Frenchman’s contract is set to expire in June next year and the Rossoneri don’t expect him to pen new terms.

Head coach Max Allegri will try his utmost to keep Maignan in Milan. However, alternatives must be identified if he does decide to move on.

And one of those targets is Crusaders stopper Suzuki. The Japan international has been at the Stadio Ennio Tardini since the beginning of last season.

Zion Suzuki Transfer News

Back in April, Manchester United targeted Zion Suzuki as a potential replacement for Andre Onana. Ironically, the Red Devils also identified Mike Maignan as well but both moves never came to fruition.

Now, the former could be filling the void left by Maignan if he does decide to quit the San Siro in the summer. It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will move on but it appears likely at this stage.

However, Calciomercato is suggesting that will be the case and Suzuki is the prime candidate to fill the void. The 23-year-old has earned rave reviews since moving to Emilia-Romagna.

Is Zion Suzuki Good Enough For Milan?

Zion Suzuki is regarded by many in Italy as one of Serie A’s best goalkeepers. The Japan international was pivotal for Parma last season as the Crusaders battled bravely against relegation.

All in all, Suzuki has kept nine clean sheets in 40 outings. He has shipped 56 goals but the 23-year-old certainly has the ability to make his mark at one of Italy’s top sides.

Playing in a struggling side has only accelerated Suzuki’s talents. He has often provided world class saves which have proved pivotal for his current employers quest to sustain their top-flight status.

How Much Would Zion Suzuki Cost?

Zion Suzuki wouldn’t come cheap but he would likely be affordable from Milan’s perspective. According to TransferMarkt, Suzuki is valued at €20million.

He has four years remaining on his current deal so a deal in the region of €30m is likely to tempt Parma into negotiations.

Although the Rossoneri have spent heavily this summer, obtaining European soccer for next season will enhance their budget for new players next year.

With that in mind, forking out for Suzuki wouldn’t be an issue from Max Allegri’s perspective. If Mike Maignan were to move on, Suzuki would make an ideal replacement.
