Ahead of Sunday’s Coppa Italia clash, FootItalia has the Milan vs Bari preview, odds, betting tips, prediction and more.
Milan Vs Bari Preview
Last season’s runners-up have endured a summer of change at the San Siro after laboring to 8th in Serie A. Max Allegri replaced Sergio Conceicao as head coach and a number of new additions have been drafted.
The standout acquisition is that of Luka Modric. The Croatian superstar joined on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid in June.
Star boys Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are still on board at Milan despite rumors linking them with moves away. They will get to play alongside the likes of Ardon Jashari, Pervis Estupinan, Koni De Winter and Samuele Ricci.
Allegri’s side has entertained an indifferent pre-season. The Rossoneri beat Liverpool and thrashed Perth Glory 9-0 during their Far East tour but were humbled 4-1 by Chelsea last weekend.
Meanwhile, Bari will be aiming to cause a huge upset at the San Siro on Sunday. The Serie B side missed out on the play-offs last season so their quest for top-flight soccer will have to wait at least 12 months.
The Biancorossi are huge underdogs going into the tie in what will be head coach Fabio Caserta’s first competitive game in charge of the southerners.
He led Catanzaro into the play-off last year so certainly knows how to cause an upset. Caserta will be hoping to go one better this season and what a story if would be if he could inflict defeat on the five-time winners.

Milan Vs Bari Team News And Predicted Lineup
With Milan midfielder Christian Pulisic back in full training and set to feature, head coach Max Allegri has all of his top players available for Sunday’s clash.
Interestingly, the Rossoneri haven’t won the Coppa Italia since 2003 so Allegri will want to see a professional and polished performance from his side.
The likes of newbies Ardon Jashari, Pervis Estupinan, Koni De Winter, Zachary Athekame and Samuele Ricci are all expected to feature at some point. It’s not known yet whether Luka Modric will play any part in the game.
As for Bari, they are set to be without Vincenzo Colangiuli and Sheriff Kassama. The duo have trained separately this week but the game may come too soon for them after their injury setbacks.
Experienced striker Christian Gytkjaer will lead the line for the southerners. He moved to the Stadio San Nicola earlier this summer from Venezia.
AC Milan predicted XI: Terracciano; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic, Estupinan; Musah, Ricci, Jashari; Pulisic, Gimenez, Leao
Bari predicted XI: Cerofolini; Nikolaou, Vicari, Pucino; Braunoder, Bellomo, Pagano, Tripaldelli; Pereiro, Sibilli; Gytkjaer
Milan Vs Bari Prediction
Lecce or Juve Stabia awaits the winners of this tie and it’s borderline impossible not to see Milan progressing with ease. Especially as players will be keen to impress new head coach Max Allegri.
With an expected front three of Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez – the Rossoneri faithful should be treated to a number of goals on Sunday.
Bari are likely to adopt a defensive game to foil and frustrate their more illustrious hosts. However, Fabio Caserta’s side won’t have the quality to cause an upset.
Prediction: Milan 4-0 Bari
Milan Vs Bari Betting Tips
- Milan vs Bari betting tip 1: Rafael Leao to score first at +550.
Rafael Leao is Milan’s star player and he looks a safe wager to net first on Sunday. The Portuguese star has enjoyed a strong pre-season and will be keen to impress Max Allegri.
- Milan vs Bari betting tip 2: Over 3.5 goals at +120.
As per our score prediction, Milan could and should rattle home a lot of goals. A number of key attackers are expected to feature from the off and even if Bari did net, that’ll help the over 3.5 goals come in.
