As we sit here approaching the final days of July, most of Juventus’ transfer activity has been paying out obligations to buy from last summer’s deals rather than bringing in new players for a roster that is in dire need of improvement. As things stand now, Juve’s lone summer addition for 2025 is Canadian striker Jonathan David, who arrived on a “free” transfer earlier this month.
Other than that … not much!
Compared to a year ago when Juventus had already done plenty of wheeling and dealing in July, this month has been more about deals — both arrivals and departures — not happening yet compared to new players posing for a picture as they sign their contract. Because of that, is there reason to worry about the lack of business being done by Juventus’ new-look front office? Or is this better than the hectic summer of 2024 that Cristiano Giuntoli put everybody through?
There are things to ponder — and that’s what we do.
